No.10 Spox: PM Doing Well, Not Struggling To Do Job

10 Downing St. spokesman states that Prime Minister Boris Johnson is 'doing well' and not struggling to do the job of PM. Questions about the PM were raised by the media yesterday following a disastrous speech to the Confederation of British Industry, in which the PM lost his place for some-time mid speech and spoke at length on a number of tangents.

  • PM remains in a difficult position. A challenge to his leadership is unlikely at present, but a sizeable rebellion from backbench Conservative MPs last night on the Health and Social Care bill and an even greater number abstaining shows that despite large gov't majority, Johnson does not have total control over his MPs.
  • Spokesman states that PM supports speech made by Cabinet Office minister Lord Frost to the CPS think tank. In the address, Frost stated the gov't should be pursing lower taxes and more dynamic regulation in the wake of Brexit.
