No Change To Macron-Le Pen Gap In Latest Polls

Latest rolling polling from Ipsos-Sopra Steria, Ifop-Fiducial and OpinionWay/Kea shows no change from the previous survey of support in a hypothetical Emmanuel Macron-Marine Le Pen match up in the second round of the French presidential election.

  • In the OpinionWay and Ifop polls released on 5 April, Macron leads Le Pen by 53% to 47%, while in the Ipsos poll he leads by the margin of 54% to 46%.
  • These support levels are the same recorded in the previous day's surveys by the same pollsters.
  • Ahead of the 2017 presidential election, which was decided by a Macon-Le Pen second round run-off, the highest level of support Le Pen recieved in any poll gauging a hypothetical match-up with Macron was 42%.
