North Sea Buzzard Field to Close Aug. 9 for Works

North Sea Buzzard oil field will begin planned maintenance on Aug. 9 and will be offline for around 8 days, according to Bloomberg citing Cnooc International.

  • The field was originally planned to be shut in late August for around 14 days.
  • Buzzard is the largest feeding field for North Sea Forties crude. Its share of Forties blend is seen at 20% in August, compared with 25.3% for September, Bloomberg said.
  • Regarding Forties output, it is seen at 160.9k b/d in August before rising to 185.5k b/d in September, according to the pipeline system operator Ineos.
