EMISSIONS: Norway Awards Three Firms to Explore CO2 Storage in North Sea

The Norwegian government has offered three companies exploration licenses for CO2 storage in two areas in the North Sea, after reviewing six companies, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate said. 

  • Aker BP, Equinor and Harbour Energy have been selected in the seventh time acreage has been awarded for potential CO2 storage.
