Norway Gas Maintenances Update

The annual maintenance season at Norway’s natural gas facilities is coming to an end this week, despite the extension to the outage at the Troll gas field earlier this week and an unplanned outage at the Kollsnes processing plant, Gassco remit data showed.

  • The maintenance at the Troll field has been delayed earlier this week and is scheduled to return on Friday with 21.5mcm/d of unavailable capacity.
  • Shell confirmed the restart for the 79.8mcm/d Nyhamna processing plant on 15 July after earlier uncertainty following a previous outage extension.
  • Maintenance at the Ormen Lange field is scheduled to end 15 July, affecting 24.2mcm/d. The field has another unavailability of 6.8mcm/d planned for 15-16 July.
  • The 25.8mcm/d Aasta Hansten field will return on 15 July from annual maintenance. The field has another planned maintenance scheduled for 15-17 July, affecting 13.8mcm/d.
  • The Kollsnes processing plant has an unscheduled outage on 13-14 July, limiting output by 11.5mcm/d, amid failure to external power supply.
  • Pipeline imports from Norway have recovered from lows of below 220mcm/d in June back to 265.9mcm/d.
