ECB
ECB: Nothing revelatory in the ECB bulletin just out...though some chunky
articles in there about the impact of protectionism, and "fiscal rules in the
euro area and lessons from other monetary unions", the subjects du jour.
- Some key quotes from the opening paragraphs:
- "an ample degree of monetary accommodation remains necessary"
- "Survey indicators of global economic activity have weakened in the first

- "The risks surrounding the euro area growth outlook remain tilted to the

factors, the threat of protectionism and vulnerabilities in emerging markets."
