US DATA: Nov durable goods new orders +1.3%, well below the +2.3% 
expected as a transportation surge was offset by declines elsewhere. 
- Durable goods ex-transport -0.1% vs +0.6% expected, pointing to 
underlying weakness. Outside of transport, there were declines for 
fabricated metals, machinery and computers and electronics. 
- Transport orders +4.2%, with nondefense aircraft orders +14.5%, 
defense aircraft orders +11.9%, mtr veh orders +1.4%, and unlisted 
transportation components +6.5%, according to an MNI calc. 
- Nondefense capital goods new orders were +2.6%, but -0.1% ex. 
aircraft. 
- Durable shipments +1.0%. Nondef cap gds shipments +2.1% but only +0.3% 
ex. air. Durable inventories +0.2%, unfilled orders +0.1%.
