Nudging Lower On Soft China Data

Softer than expected monthly Chinese economic activity data biased e-minis lower overnight, with the 3 major futures contracts 0.1-0.3% softer at typing. Fresh downward impetus in EURO STOXX 50 futures around the cash open was also noted. Still the S&P 500 future operates comfortably within the recently observed range, with the VIX comfortably sub-20. Debt ceiling rhetoric is eyed ahead of today’s Biden-Congressional leadership meeting.
