NZ Observes New Year's Holiday

NZD

NZD/USD has wavered around neutral levels, with liquidity sapped by a public holiday in New Zealand. The rate last changes hands at $0.7188, virtually unchanged on the day.

  • The rate managed to hit a fresh cycle high of $0.7241 on the last trading day of 2020. The level remains the initial bullish target and a break here would open up the upper 3.0% Bollinger band at $0.7264. Conversely, a dip through Dec 28 low of $0.7084 would clear the way to Dec 21 low/round figure of $0.7003/00.
  • CoreLogic House Price Index will be released out of New Zealand this Wednesday.
