OI Points To Limited Positioning Moves On Monday, Modest Long Setting In Long End

US TSY FUTURES

The combination of yesterday’s twist flattening of the Tsy futures curve and preliminary OI data points to the following net positioning movement on Monday:

  • Net long cover: TU futures
  • Net short setting: FV futures
  • Net long setting: TY, UXY, US & WN futures
  • The net positioning swings in the individual contracts seemed to be relatively modest, with the apparent long setting in TY through WN futures providing the dominant net positioning move on the curve.
