The U.S. national average gasoline price may fall below $3/gallon ahead of Thanksgiving travel, serving it a boost according to Gas Buddy’s lead analyst Patrick De Haan speaking on CNBC.
- 32 states have an average price below $3/gallon at present.
- Last year inflation was zapping consumer confidence to hit the road at Thanksgiving, which is expected to significantly improve this year. TSA is also expecting record air travel.
- AAA estimates a record 80 million people will travel this Thanksgiving, up by 1.5mn people vs last year.
