OIL PRODUCTS

Russian refined oil product exports rebounded 18% m/m to 2.3mb/d in November 1-20 driven by diesel and naphtha shipments to offset a drop in fuel oil, according to Bloomberg citing Vortexa data.

  • Russia’s primary crude-processing rates for the first 20 days of November averaged 5.32mb/d, as refineries largely completed their seasonal maintenance
  • Diesel and gasoil exports rose 17% from October to the highest since July at 827kb/d, supported by flows to Turkey and unusually strong supply to Asia, in particular to Indonesia.
  • Naphtha shipments rose more than 50% to the highest since March 2023 at 530kb/d with an increase in supply to Brazil and Mediterranean ports of Turkey, Libya and Tunisia.
  • Fuel oil exports fell 6% to a six month low of 626kb/d with a drop in shipments to Asia and the Middle East.
  • Jet fuel exports fell to 16kb/d while gasoline rose to 12kb/d as Russia looks set to lift the export ban for two months from Dec. 1.
