Oil Reservoir Tank Capacity at Kozmino to Expand

OIL

Russia’s oil-pipeline operator Transneft plans to expand oil reservoir tank capacity in Kozmino according to Bloomberg based on a government decree published on a legal database.

  • Transneft plans to construct three oil reservoir tanks each with capacity of 50k cubic meters. Two tanks will be at the Skovorodino oil intake point which is part of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean crude pipeline.
  • The additional storage tanks at Kozmino are part of plans to boost shipments of ESPO, potentially diverting more crude away from the country’s western ports.
  • Crude loadings at Kozmino are expected to rise to 46m tons in 2024 from 42.6m tons in 2023.
