OIL: Russia Crude Processing 4% More Than a Year Ago: Sorokin

Russia’s First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said the country is processing 4% more crude oil than a year ago, according to Tass cited by Bloomberg.

  • Maintenance at two Gazprom refineries focused on 95-Ron gasoline output are expected to complete soon, Sorokin added.
  • Sorokin said a fundamental decision has been reached to limit exports of gasoline from Russia in September-October, according to Interfax.
  • A ban on exporting diesel was not required, "however, work will continue to limit the potential for non-producers to export diesel even to the territory of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union," he said.
  • Annual diesel production in Russia will rise by 15-20m tons by 2028-2030.
