OIL: WAF Exports Rise in August: Bloomberg

WAF loadings in August increased about 7% on the month to the highest level since December amid a revival in exports from Angola and smaller producers.

  • Flows increased on the month from Chad, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal.
  • The monthly gain was partially offset by declines from Cameroon and Ghana.
  • Observed loadings from 12 countries tracked by Bloomberg hit 3.71m b/d in August, compared to 3.46m b/d in July.
  • Angolan exports rose by 92k b/d to 1.17m b/d, the highest since December.
  • Nigeria’s crude and condensate exports averaged 1.55m b/d, stable on the month.
