Oman LNG Sign 10 Year Supply Deal to Japan’s Jera

Oman LNG has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Japan’s Jera to supply up to 0.8m metric tons of LNG per year according to Oman News Agency.

  • The 10 year deal due to start in 2025 is possible related to a term sheet signed between the companies in December 2022. The term sheet included the supply of up to 12 cargoes, about 0.8mtpa from Oman LNG’s complex in Qalhat, Sur according to LNG Prime.
  • Oman LNG operates three LNG trains in Qalhat with capacity of 11.4 mtpa fed by gas from the central Oman gas field complex.
