EQUITIES: One thing to consider is that although e-minis traded heavy from the
get go in Asia, on the worry surrounding the protests/riots in the U.S, this
move came after Friday's late relief rally on Wall St. as President Trump's
statement on China avoided the worst case scenarios, and provided little in the
way of notable, immediate moves against China, although it was heavy on
rhetoric.
- The latter could be playing into the light uptick for the Nikkei 225 during
early trade this week, with regional participants getting a chance to react to
the Trump presser for the first time
- This may have also dragged e-minis off of worst levels.
