OPEC Monitoring China Demand and Russia/Ukraine War Impact

Minister Gabriel Obiang said that members of OPEC plus are monitoring demand from China and the impact of the Russia/ Ukraine war according to Amena Bakr of EnergyIntel on twitter.

  • “We don’t want oil prices at 200 or 30” said minister Gabriel Obiang adding that the aim is to have a stable market free from volatility.
  • Gabriel Obiang is the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea and has taken over as the president of OPEC in 2023.
  • The JMMC will hold the next meeting on 1 Feb.
