Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in post on Facebook that details about tax-cut plans are to be announced “soon.” 

  • As a reminder, addressing an economic policy forum on Saturday, the Prime Minister said, "We are and will remain the government of tax cuts," as he outlined a tax regime applying low taxes and tax breaks to incentivise people to work and start families.
  • Orban said in his state-of-the-nation speech last month that he wants to expand a lifetime income-tax exemption applying to mothers of four or more children to smaller families, gradually phasing in the new policies from October.
