Orban to Meet French President Macron in Paris Today

  • Hungary is firmly against "severing" the EU's economic cooperation with China in a move to "override economic realities with political considerations", and instead calls for shaping mutually advantageous relations, minister of foreign affairs and trade Szijjarto said as cited by MTI.
  • Prime Minister Orban will meet French President Macron for talks at a working dinner in Paris on Monday, Orban's press chief said in a statement. According to French press reports cited by MTI, the meeting will be held in preparation for an EU summit held late in March, with the agenda of the talks including the war in Ukraine, European competitiveness, energy issues, and the continent's defence industry.
