PADD 3 Oil Product Exports Remain High Despite Weak Runs

US PADD 3 clean product exports remain strong despite heavy reported maintenance levels according to Vortexa, posting an 11% increase over the first 20 days of Feb vs the seasonal average.

  • PADD 3 utilization rates for week ending February 9th fell below 80% after an extended period of high run rates in previous years Vortexa said, citing EIA figures.
  • It compares to the 2023 avg of 90.5%, 2022 avg of 93.5% compared to 2019 average of 92% (EIA).
  • Consistently high clean product export from PADD 3 are welcome for European markets coping without Russian diesel, which is instead heading to markets like Brazil.
