Passenger car sales in September increased....>

CHINA: Passenger car sales in September increased 1.2% year-on-year to 2.23
million units, compared with 5.8% growth in August, the China Passenger Car
Association (CPCA) said on its website Friday. Total sales in the first nine
months of the year rose 1.3% on an annualized basis to 16.7 million, compared
with a 1.2% gain in the first eight months, the CPCA said. On a monthly basis,
passenger car sales rose 17.2% in September. The CPCA attributed the increase to
China's strong economic performance and upgraded consumption.
