PERU: November CPI Inflation On Course To Edge Higher, Remain In Target

Scotiabank has noted that the key prices it tracks point to monthly inflation of 0.1% m/m, which if confirmed would lift annual inflation from 2.0% to 2.3% y/y, still comfortably within the BCRP’s 1-3% target range.
  • Meanwhile, Petroperu said in a statement that local community members of the Loreto region had entered its Norperuano pipeline’s Morona station on Nov 24, demanding the energy generator be turned off, impeding staff and contractors from leaving and demanding the presence of a high-level committee to address their concerns. Police and the public prosecutor’s office were notified of the event and asked to intervene to establish order.
