Petronas Delay Several LNG Cargoes for Dec Delivery

Petronas has delayed several LNG shipments to long term customers for delivery in December according to Bloomberg sources.

The delays are due to a production issue at its export facility in Malaysia although the extent of the issue is currently unclear.

  • Malaysia is one of the world's largest LNG exporters behind US, Australia, and Qatar with the majority of supplies sent to Asia. Malaysia exported 28.2m mt of LNG in 2022, up 9.18% from 2021 with the main destinations of Japan, China, and South Korea.
