PGNiG Reverses on Norway Gas Comments

Poland’s PGNiG said in a statement it aims to fully utilise booked capacity on the Baltic Pipe from Norway. It reverses yesterday’s stance, when the company said it only plans to use half the booked capacity because it expects higher prices to dampen demand for gas.

  • The pipe is planned to open on October 1 and is capable of delivering up to 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Norway.
  • "It may also aim to clarify any doubts as yesterday's declaration may have been interpreted that technical issues stand in the way of the full usage of booked capacity." The statement said.
