EURO-DOLLAR: Picked up fresh demand as Europe opened, the rate  moved up to
retest the earlier Asian high of $1.1695. However, momentum failed to extend
through resistance in the $1.1696/1.1700 area, a move above to expose reported
stronger resistance at and above $1.1710. Support remains back in place at the
Asian base of $1.1676 ahead of hourly support between $1.1655/45. EZ Trade
balance at 0900GMT(not normally a market mover), more attention this afternoon's
US Retail Sales and Empire State data. Japan Marine Day saw markets in this
centre closed leading to this conditions through Asia.
