PLN and HUF are back at session lows, moving in tandem with single currency weakness following Trump’s latest social media post. The President’s scathing assessment of Zelensky underscores the difference in approach between Europe and the US in resolving the Ukraine war, and has hit euro sentiment.

  • The latest move lower across CE3 FX has seen currencies reverse any of the (moderate) gains that were recorded on the back of the US-China NYT article. The zloty is unsurprisingly the worst performer out of a basket of major EM currencies on the session given its sensitivity to Ukraine matters, and is close to 1% weaker against the greenback at typing.
