EUR/PLN last changes hands +43 pips at 4.3310, with bulls looking to a break above recent highs printed at 4.3826 (Jun 14 high). This would open up the round figure of 4.40. On the downside, the focus is on the 20-EMA, which intersects at 4.3184.

  • NBP's Maslowska told Bloomberg that neither rate cuts nor rate hikes can be ruled out, but she was hoping for the re-commencement of monetary loosening next year. This comes after Ireneusz Dabrowski told MNI that rate cuts were the least probable scenario for this year, while the most probable one involved a "wait and see" approach.
  • Statistics Poland will release the second batch of economic activity data for the month of May on Monday (including retail sales and construction output), which is at odds with its usual practice of publishing it the day after the release of the first batch.
  • POLGB yields are 3.9bp-5.4bp lower across the curve. The WIG20 Index is slightly weaker on the session.
