Podolyak Addresses FT Ceasefire Speculation

Ukraine's chief negotiator at the ceasefire talks with Russia Mikhailo Podolyak has addressed recent speculation which followed a Financial Times report of a ceasefire plan reported in bullet at 14:36:

• Podolyak: 'Briefly. FT published a draft, which represents the requesting position of the Russian side. Nothing more. The Ukrainian side has its own positions. The only thing we confirm at this stage is a ceasefire, withdrawal of Russian troops and security guarantees from a number of countries.'
• The FT story 'Ukraine and Russia draw up neutrality plan to end war' has garnered significant market interest, with its claim that significant progress has been made on a '15-point plan' for an agreement between Russia and Ukraine that would include a ceasefire.
