POWER: Poland Opens Consultation on €240mn Biogas Cogeneration Program

 Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has opened a consultation to support cogeneration biogas, with up to PLN1bn (€240mn) and implementation planned for 2025–30, it said.

  • The funds will apply to biogas projects produced from biomass and municipal waste of at least 32MW of capacity.
  • The program covers the construction of new biomass fermentation installations, as well as the expansion or modernisation of existing facilities, to enable high-efficiency cogeneration.
  • Grant funding will cover up to 40% of eligible costs, while loan funding can provide up to 100% of eligible costs.
