POWER: Poland’s Electricity Production Up 1.5% in 2024, Reaching 168TWh

Poland's energy production showed mixed results in 2024, with hard coal and natural gas output declining, while lignite and electricity production saw gains, according to Poland’s national statistics office (GUS), cited by ISB news.
- Hard coal production fell by 8.9% year-on-year, totalling 44.22 mn/t, while lignite production rose by 2.3% to 41.03 mn/t.
- Meanwhile, electricity production increased by 1.5%, reaching 168.46 TWh, reflecting growth in renewable and other energy sources.
- Natural gas production in 2024 fell by 2.8% y/y, with crude oil production dropping 6.4% y/y in 2024
