MNI BRIEF:EU To Sell EUR150-200 Bln NGEU Bonds/Yr Till End '26

The European Union will become one of the largest issuers of euro-denominated debt with sales of EUR150-200 billion a year until the end of 2026 to finance its NextGenerationEU Covid reconstruction programme, European Budget Commissioner Johannes Hahn said in a tweet.

NextGenerationEU will be 30%-funded by green bonds, Hahn said. EU debt issuance could "change the equation" for eurozone debt market participants, the head of France's debt agency told MNI last October.
