Politico: CR Could Take 5 Days, Gov't Shutdown Could Last Thru Weekend

  • Comes after a story earlier in the day from Politico reporting that conservative GOP senators will withhold their consent from attempts to swiftly wrap up debate on a Continuing Resolution (CR) that seeks to fund the federal gov't beyond Friday night.
  • Without federal gov't funding, the White House would not be able to impose a vaccine mandate on the private sector as intended.
