Port Arthur Refinery Turnaround Starting on 21 Aug

TotalEnergies’ Port Arthur 238kb/d refinery in Texas will begin a multiunit turnaround on 21 Aug according to Bloomberg sources.

  • The work will include its fluid catalytic cracker and require one crude unit to be shut or crude runs to be cut during the work.
  • Work on the 80k b/d FCC will take 65-70 days and includes installing a new reactor.
  • Other units that are part of the turnaround are in the Residual Process Complex and include a hydrogen unit, sulfur unit, Demex asphalt unit and an incinerator.
