Portovaya LNG Starts Production

The Portovaya LNG facility in Russia has started production according to Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee Vitaly Markelov.

  • Two production lines are already operational at the small scale gas facility with a capacity of 1.5m tonnes per year near the start of the Nord Stream pipeline.
  • "About 30,000 tonnes of LNG have been produced to date. The plant completed 72-hour comprehensive trials yesterday," Markelov said.
