US DATA PREVIEW: Positing "a drop in energy prices may have depressed the
headline CPI in July," RBS Natwest economists say after "four straight gains of
0.1%, we look for the core rate to have advanced in the month by 0.2%. The
three-month annualized change in the core rate stood at 1.6% in May, down from
2.6% at the turn of the year, suggesting that core inflation trends remain
subdued in 2019."
