Power consumption in Germany, France and the UK is forecast to rise by 10% on the month to124GW in October, supported by cooler weather and increased use of electric heating according to BNEF. 

  • French power demand this month is expected to rise to 45.4GW, which would be 5.3% higher on the year.
  • Power consumption in Germany is forecast at 53.1GW this month, which would be 2% higher on the year.
  • In contrast, winter power demand in the three countries is forecast to fall by 0.6% year on year to average 142GW.
