Corporate PPAs for renewable energy in Europe are poised to break last year's record of 10.8GW, with 2024's contracted capacity already at 10.7GW as of October, and further growth expected by year-end, RE-Source Platform Policy and Impact Director Annie Scanlan said, cited by PV Magazine.

  • Renewable corporate PPA capacity in Europe currently stands at 47.6GW, with Spain leading with 11GW of contracted capacity to date, followed by Germany at 6.7GW, Sweden at 4.6 GW, and the UK at 4.3GW.
  • In 2024, France contracted 3.3GW surpassing the Netherlands at 2.9GW, with solar dominating in France and wind in the Netherlands.
