POWER: European PPA Prices on Track Rise on Month in Nov

The average price of European PPAs is on track to edge up on the month so far in Nov, while spot costs rose on 18 Nov from the previous session amid upward movements in the energy complex, according to the latest data from Pexapark. PPA prices could be weighed down today amid lower prices in German power and emissions, however, gas costs are currently slightly up on the day.

  • EU PPA prices averaged around €49.84/MWh over 1-18 November from €49.58/MWh across October but lower than the September average at €49.95/MWh.
  • On the day, prices climbed to €51.17/MWh on 18 Nov from €50.45/MWh on 15 Nov. This is the highest PPA prices have been since 2 Sept.
  • PPA prices in Germany, UK, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, the Nordics and France increased. The highest gains on the day were seen in France and Germany.
  • Solar, onshore and offshore PPA prices rose between 1.37-2.6%.
  • Germany Base Power DEC 24 down 0% at 110.38 EUR/MWh
  • EUA DEC 24 down 0.4% at 69.23 EUR/MT
  • TTF Gas DEC 24 up 0.2% at 47.015 EUR/MWh
