POWER: European PPA Prices Rebound From Multi-Month Low

European PPA prices rebounded from their two-session downward trend on 9 Oct, inching up by €0.05/MWh from 8 Oct, according to latest data from. PPA price could be supported in the short term amid price increases in the energy complex.

  • EU PPA prices increased to €48.95/MWh on 9 Oct from €48.90/MWh on 8 Oct – which at the time was the lowest PPA price since 16 May 2024.
  • PPA prices in Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Spain climbed higher, while costs in the UK, Netherlands and Nordics fell.
  • Solar PPA prices climbed 0.17% on the day, with onshore PPAs up 0.19%. Offshore PPA’s fell by 0.17%.
  • Germany Base Power NOV 24 up 2.9% at 87.95 EUR/MWh
  • EUA DEC 24 up 4.8% at 65.00 EUR/MT

  • TTF Gas NOV 24 up 3.5% at 39.67 EUR/MWh
