POWER: France-German Jao Offered Capacity Nearly Doubles

France-German offered CBC capacity almost doubled for delivery in October compared to Sept, while the capacity in the other direction was unchanged on the JAO auction platform. The auction results are expected on 19 September.

  • In the France-German direction, 365MW is on offer, up from 185MW offered for September – which went at €22.08/MWh.
  • In the other direction, 415MW is on offer for October, unchanged from the previous month's auction – which cleared at €2.58/MWh.
  • The French October power base-load contract is at a €17.50/MWh discount to the German market at the time of writing.
