Germany December power is tracking the lowest level since 15 November, with forecast for milder weather and increased wind output. The German spot index is expected to drop sharply on the day amid high wind output.

- Wind output in Germany is forecast to rise on Thursday to 31.71GW during base load, up from 23.74GW forecasted for Wednesday. Solar PV output is forecast to fall to 2.77GW during peak load on Thursday, down from 4.48GW forecasted for Wednesday according to SpotRenewables.
- The latest 6-10 day ECMWF weather forecast for Dusseldorf suggested mean temperatures have been revised up on the day with temperatures most days above the seasonal normal in December.
- Mean temperatures in Dusseldorf are forecast to fall to 6.9C on Thursday, down from 8.4C on Wednesday and below the average of 5C.
- Power demand in Germany is forecast to rise to 61.4GW on Thursday, up from 60.63GW forecasted for Wednesday according to Bloomberg.
- Residual load in Germany is forecast to decline by 11.98GWh/h on the day according to Reuters.
- Germany’s hydrobalance has been revised down on the day to end at -391GWh on 11 December, compared with -374GWh forecasted a day earlier.
