 POWER POSITIONING – Investment Funds positioning in ICE German power futures continued its bearish trend last week with net long positionings decreasing sharply according to the latest COT data as of 22 Nov.

  • Investment Funds net long position dropped sharply by 245,545 to 339,666.
  • Investment Firms flipped back to a net short position to be at -508,764 from a net long position of just 13,923.
  • Commercial Undertaking net short position declined by 291,663 to be at -452,977.
  • The German December power base-load contract last week dropped by around 0.86% on the week as warmer temperatures weighed on the contract to resist on-week gains in EU ETS and TTF.
