Power POSITIONING – Investment Funds Positioning Turns Less Bearish

Investment funds net short positions in ICE German power futures turning the least bearish since October of last year, according to the COT data for the week of 10 May.

  • Investment Funds net position increased slightly by 48,600 to -917,765.
  • Investment Firms net position decreased by 247,140 to +92,607.
  • Commercial Undertaking net position rose by 613,702 to 5.763mn.
  • German Base Power June 24 up 0.77% at €66.40/MWh at the time of writing.
  • TTF Gas JUN 24 up 2.08% at €30.285/MWh.
