Statkraft is negotiating a €107mn grant from the EU Innovation Fund to support a 200MW hydrogen production site in Germany, Emden, with the firm having already signed “several” letters of intent, it said.

  • The project also includes a 50MW heat pump system.
  • Additionally, the firm is advancing its hydrogen pilot project, developing a 10MW electrolyser at the Emden site, with an investment decision to be made this year.
