POWER: UK Government to Provide £5.5bn for 3.2GW Nuke

POWER

 The UK plans to offer as much as £5.5 billion to develop the proposed 3.2GW Sizewell-c nuclear power plant, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero said.

  • The funding will be used to cover costs up to the point of the FID – aimed to be met by the end of 2024 – and reach operation.
  • Approvals are still needed before funding is given.
