Prelude Planned Maintenance Delayed to 2023

Shell is deferring planned Prelude LNG maintenance due in September because of ongoing industrial action it said today.

  • "As a result of the ongoing Protected Industrial Action and inability to complete preparation work, we are not able to proceed with the planned turnaround at this time," Shell have said on the matter.
  • The extended maintenance is now deferred until next year but the timing is uncertain.
  • Shell shut the facility in July because of the industrial action which has currently been extended to August 11.
