President Joe Biden is set to enter February experiencing his first period of persistent approval decline since July last year.
- According to the FiveThirtyEight tracker, Biden's approval has sunk from 44.1% to 41.6% in the two weeks since the story broke that he had improperly stored classified government documents.
- Former President Donald Trump will kickstart his 2024 presidential campaign on Saturday with two events in key primary states.
- He will first speak at the New Hampshire Republican Party’s annual meeting before heading to South Carolina to campaign alongside with Governor Henry McMaster (R-SC) and Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC).
- Trump will likely focus on the Biden document controversy, which has breathed life back into his campaign after a stuttering end to 2022 saw his support crater amongst key Republican supports and donors.
