President Biden's Approval Rating Shows No Signs Of "Midterm Bounce"

US

The approval of US President Joe Biden has shown no immediate sign of rebounding off lows following a stronger than expected midterm election performance from Democrats.

  • FiveThirtyEight's aggregated polling tracker shows that polling taking in the aftermath of last week's midterms gives Biden a broadly similar approval rating range around 42% to before the midterms.
  • This is contrasted with the summer when a strong Democrat performance was accompanied by a corresponding bounce in Biden's approval rating.
