President Erdogan Says Turkey-EU Relations Need To Improve

  • In a statement released on Friday following a call between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Dutch PM Mark Rutte, the Turkish president said that the current state of EU-Turkey ties is 'not in the interest of both sides', and that the "narrow-minded and vicious goals of one or two member countries" should be set aside to ensure a mutually beneficial situation.
  • President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to speak at an award ceremony at 2pm in Ankara. There are no economic data releases, however, economic confidence and non-residential bond holdings data will be published on Thursday.
